Electrical Installation Condition report

What happens during an EICR ?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is a thorough inspection and test of your property's electrical installation.

The aim is to identify any damage, deterioration, defects, or non-compliance with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, ensuring the system is safe for continued use.

During the inspection, our qualified electricians will assess:

  • Consumer Unit (Fuse Board) – Checking its condition, safety, and suitability.
  • Earthing and Bonding – Ensuring adequate protection against electrical faults.
  • Circuit Breakers and RCDs – Testing safety devices to confirm they operate correctly.
  • Electrical Wiring and Circuits – Inspecting for damage, wear, or potential hazards.
  • Sockets, Switches and Light Fittings – Checking for defects, overheating, or signs of deterioration.
  • Electrical Safety Risks – Identifying exposed live parts, overloaded circuits, and other potential dangers.

Following the inspection and testing, you'll receive a detailed report outlining any observations, recommendations, and whether the installation is classified as satisfactory or requires remedial work.

Our EICRs provide peace of mind that your property's electrical installation is safe, compliant, and operating as it should.

Electrical Remedial Work Following an EICR

If your Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) identifies any faults, remedial work may be required to bring your electrical installation up to current safety standards.

Any issues found during the inspection will be assigned one of the following codes:

  • C1 – Danger Present: Immediate action required.
  • C2 – Potentially Dangerous: Urgent remedial work required.
  • FI – Further Investigation: Additional investigation needed without delay.
  • C3 – Improvement Recommended: Not unsafe, but upgrading is advised.

An EICR containing a C1, C2, or FI observation will be classified as Unsatisfactory.

Our qualified electricians can carry out all necessary remedial work to correct any faults identified, ensuring your installation is safe, compliant, and capable of achieving a satisfactory EICR result.

Whether you're a homeowner, landlord, or business owner, we provide fast, reliable repairs to help keep your property safe and compliant with current electrical regulations.
